Here at the Wart Removal Clinic, we are specialists at removing all types of warts and unsightly skin blemishes. Below is a guide to blood spots and the treatments we provide.
What are Blood Spots?

Blood Spots (also know as Campbell de Morgan spots) are bright red spots usually a couple of millimetres across although they may grow to being half a centimetre. They are usually very bright red and have a very clear margin. They should not be confused with thread veins or spider veins which have red streaky veins radiating away from them.
What causes Blood Spots?
Blood spots are coils of abnormal blood vessels that come through the skin and are very close the surface hence their bright red colour. Blood Spots usually develop on the skin as one gets older. They become more common and larger as you get older. They are often found on the chest, abdomen or arms. They can also be found on the back or on the neck.
Are they Dangerous?
They are not dangerous, they are purely a cosmetic problem. Removing these unsightly blemishes is safe and leaves no remaining trace.
What Treatment is needed to Remove Blood Spots?
To remove a blood spot from your body, we use either the latest Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology or Advanced Cosmetic Procedure. Before the treatment can take place, a consultation and patch test is needed. The treatment will effectively remove the blood spots by coagulating the blood in the tiny vessels. The vessel then collapses and disappears. The treatment itself is a little uncomfortable but easily tolerated. There are minimal after effects, with a little heat and swelling in the surrounding area. Each treatment lasts 15 minutes.
What Results are expected?
Blood Spots can be successfully removed, leaving a clearer, healthier looking skin. This treatment is suitable for men and woman on the face and on other body areas.
